French polish with shellac is the supreme discipline among traditional surface finishes for pianos and furniture, and our specialist Robert Pietraszek masters it perfectly.
Shellac is a pure natural product and contains no pollutants. The resin-like substance has been known in India for millennia and found its way to Europe in the 17th century. Applied by a master, a real French Shellac polish gives the instrument its own character and incomparable aesthetics.
The paint is applied by hand with a polishing pad, layer by layer. After drying, the surface is finely ground, cleaned and applied the next coat of paint. This creates a shiny surface with an extraordinary depth effect.
We will gladly advise you in detail, if you are interested in a refresher or repainting of your instrument or a piece of furniture.
