Spielstatt Music School
Since 2005, you can learn to play an instrument at KLAVIERgalerie in our own Spielstatt music school. We help both kids and grown ups discover their enthusiasm for music.
Learn from the pros
Learning an instrument and making music is an invaluable asset, especially for kids. When the public music school in the 7th district closed, we immediately knew we had to do something. So we founded the Spielstatt music school as a part of our music center in 2005.
Elena Tolstykh, director of the private music school, put together an international team of professional music teachers. They focus on a playful approach, individual enthusiasm, and the achievement of personal goals – because “every child is a treasure,” Elena Tolstykh sums it up.
The instruments you and your kids can learn at Spielstatt include piano (classical and jazz), guitar, violin, recorder, flute, cello, saxophone, and even drums and composition. Technical skills and theoretical knowledge are brought to life through creativity and a playful teaching method that is designed as a great expedition.
Reach for the stars
At Spielstatt, we aim at motivating children right from the start to participate in competitions and perform concerts in public without pressure. The number of prizes and awards that are regularly won in well-known competitions in Vienna, Austria and abroad by our students proves how much this loving, creative work pays off. If music is allowed to be enjoyable, success comes almost automatically.
